Description
On 24 October 2024, UNPA will issue a new special event sheet to commemorate the fifty-fifth anniversary of its Geneva office.
On 11 December 1968, an agreement between the United Nations and the Swiss Postal Telephone and Telegraph Enterprise enabled the Geneva office to open. The first United Nations stamps in Swiss francs were issued on 4 October 1969.
The sheet of 10 stamps in the denomination of CHF 1,20 features various images and artwork of the Geneva headquarters complex. The tabs to the right of the stamps feature an illustration of architectural elements at Geneva headquarters. The sheet was designed by Sergio Baradat (United Nations).
