On 19 March 2020, UNPA will issue a set of six mini-sheets featuring Hello Kitty and the Global Goals, also known as the Sustainable Development Goals. The self-adhesive stamps are blank with several Hello Kitty elements in the tab, which can be incorporated on the stamps, creating their own personal designs.
The United Nations and Sanrio Co. Ltd., launched a strategic collaboration to promote the Sustainable Development Goals. Through the collaboration, Hello Kitty highlights six of the 17 Goals introducing them through the #HelloGlobalGoals global video series.
The six SDGs featured on the UN stamps are as follows: Goal 3 – Good Health and Well-Being; Goal 4 – Quality Education; Goal 5 – Gender Equality; Goal 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities; Goal 13 – Climate Action; and Goal 14 – Life Below Water.
“Hello Kitty is bringing her enormous fan base to our global efforts to educate young people, in every part of our world, about the Sustainable Development Goals, and why they should be involved in achieving them.” said Melissa Fleming, Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications, United Nations.
Three accordion booklets, which contain six different stamp sheets, will accompany the stamp series.

UNPA will also issue three accordion-style booklets to accompany the stamp series. Each booklet contains six mini-sheets of one stamp each of the same denomination ($1.20 for New York, CHF 2,00 for Geneva and €1,80 for Vienna).
