The United Nations Postal Administration celebrates its 65th anniversary United Nations – The first UN stamp was issued on 24 October 1951 in New York. Sixty-five years later, the UN Postal Administration – UNPA – has created, designed and printed thousands of stamps in three currencies – US dollars, Euros (formerly Austrian shillings), and Swiss francs.
