Description
Launched in 1980, the Flag Series was created to honor the Member States of the United Nations. On 15 March 2024, UNPA issues one sheet of 16 stamps featuring four new flags.
All of the country flags in the 2024 series are new or have been redesigned, as indicated below.
Sheet 58:
Lebanon– In 1995, the color of the cedar tree trunk was changed from brown to green.
San Marino– In 2011, the standardized coat of arms was incorporated into the flag.
Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela– In 2006, an eighth star, representing the Guayana Province, was added to the flag.
Yemen– In 1990 a new flag was issued after North Yemen and South Yemen were unified.
